Junior Disc Golf Foundation

Welcome to the Junior Disc Golf Foundation!

You have reached the home of the first Foundation created to provide  young Disc Golfers funding to attend colleges and universities and play Disc Golf.

The Junior Disc Golf Foundation was created for the purpose of promoting Disc Golf to the Youth of America.  We believe that many of America's youth today have a very small chance of furthering their education without some financial support. With this thought in mind we came up with what we believe to be the recipe to help the less fortunate children of America have the opportunity to attend college and have fun participating in a great sport. That recipe is to give them many chances to play, give them a chance to learn to play from professionals in the sport, offer an opportunity to get a college scholarship and the possibility of someday playing professionally themselves along with having the education they need make a living doing something they enjoy.   The Junior Disc Golf Foundation was born.

Each year there are Disc Golf Tournaments that raise money to donate to the Junior Disc Golf Foundation.  That money is deposited directly into the Scholarship Fund to support our giving.

In 2007 we have added the JDGF World Championships Financial Assistance Program to help Juniors to get to and play in the Junior Disc Golf PDGA World Championships.  With the start of this exciting new program, we are proud to announce that the JDGF World Championships Financial Assistance Selection Committee is being headed by Kurt “The FrizWiz” Lampkin.  He is located in Durango, Colorado and is a Legacy member of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA No. 1471). Mr. Lampkin also heads the Colorado Disc Sports Association Columbine High School Memorial Foundation, promoting the sport to youth in Colorado since 1999.
